Huge red box @ Central Pier No.4 By Sophie Li

A huge red box covered on the top at Central Pier No.4.

The height of the huge red box has 10 meters high that makes it noticeable to pedestrians. Actually, the huge red box represents the significant and classic red jewel case of Cartier! The reason of building this red box venue is to celebrate Cartier opened the largest Asian flagship store in Central on November 26, 2010. After the opening ceremony of the flagship store, the guests are invited to the huge red box venue to have a meal. And the following day (27), some events for celebration will be held in the huge red box venue.

It is very creative of using the classic jewel case as the idea of the venue building. The huge red box not only well represents Cartier, but also draws attention to pedestrians because of its huge size, color and special location. As there is nothing to cover the top of Central Pier originally, huge red box construct will definitely draw the attention to pedestrians.

Hermes Fingerskate by Rachel Chan

Hermes Finger-skate Boarding

Hermes is a high-end fashion brand. It is elegant, luxury and class French brand in my mind. However, after watching this youtube video, I cannot believe this video id from Hermes. The video is funny and mischievous.

In the video, you can see the fingers are moving around and "skating" along the Hermes collections. It shows variety of products of Hermes, like handbags, bracelets, high heels, hats and so on.
In my point of view, it is a good way to show the goods of Hermes as it is special and amusing. I can't even imagine it is a video to promote Hermes. It will be more attractive if background music is added.
